Daury Rodriguez, named as the accomplice in the dumping of Natalee Holloway's body by Joran van der Sloot is suing van der Sloot. 'We used to play soccer together. I wouldn't call him a friend, especially not now. I don't even have a boat." His lawyer Chris Lejuez, says van der Sloot's confession was very damaging to his client's reputation and that they want his name cleared of any connection with the case.
Deepak and Satish Kalpoe are able to sue Dr. Phil McGraw for using tape manipulation to suggest their guilt, a Los Angeles judge ruled today. Dr. Phil and CBS tried to halt the case by calling into question the legalities of suspects in a case to be tried in Aruba suing an American TV host. Dutch and American forensic experts have conclusively proven that McGraw 'doctored' the tapes.

I still think the Kalpoe boys are involved in the gang rape of Natalee. Deepak's email has many clues not to mention how hard he worked at 3 am to clean his porn mobile (Honda)

This is just wrong reporting and I'm going to call you on it Olivier. The Kalpoe brother contend Jamie Skeeters altered the tape. There has been NO proof of that. Dr. Phil and Jamie Skeeters both say the original tape was not altered. It was cut for TV consumption (much like what DeVries did with the confession tapes) but they say it was not altered. Therefore, it's merely an allegation with no factual evidence, just Deepak's word against Jamie Skeeter's (now deceased) word.
The US California Judge merely ruled that he would not throw the case out (as requested by Dr. Phil attorneys) because of Deepak's attorneys failure to produce documents they have been ordered to produce. Instead, the judge said he would give them 5 more days.
That probably isn't going to help Deepak's attorneys much because the last I heard the documents they have not produced are documents that Aruba refuses to release.
The judge has previously ruled that this is not a defense for the documents not being produced since it is unfair to Dr. Phil to have documents that might prove his case withheld simply because Aruba won't release them.
The Kalpoe boys are involved intimately in this case. I would question why at this point they would want to stir everything up and put themselves at risk for the slim chance of getting money.
It just goes to show how desperate the financial situation has become on Aruba. At this point I doubt seriously that the van der Scum are safe there, especially with high powered drug lords there.
DeVries reports on Good Morning America that the Daury who has surfaced in the US media is not the Daury that Joran mentions on the tape (where they bleeped the last name).
I had another dream about Natalee last night:
Natalee and I went to one of her favorite stores to go shopping for clothes. She loved it. It was so great to see her happy. Everything she tried on she looked great in. She ended up getting a white jacket with “Natalee” spelled on it, not “Natalie” and a pair of shorts. Then when we got home, my girlfriend took a Sharpie and spelled “Hootie” on the shorts in calligraphy. Natalee thought it was the cutest thing ever. Later that night, we made some popcorn and sat down to watch one of Natalee’s favorite movies… “The Wizard of Oz!” She absolutely loved it. I liked it too. But most of all, it was just nice to see Natalee smiling. After the movie, Natalee started talking to me about how excited she was about this upcoming class trip to an island. I had no idea and didn’t know anything about it so didn’t think much of it. I woke up shortly after that, wishing I would of asked her more about the island. Its as if in this dream, I completely forgot that Natalee was missing, which is odd and somewhat interesting. I didn’t even know anything when she started talking about the trip to Aruba. This is which makes my dreams particularly interesting and its why I’m documenting them. Please share your thoughts with me!

To the other anonymous who keeps having Natalee dreams... please go get some psychiatric help, you seem to have an irrational obsession with a dead girl. Get some help.
It's not wrong reporting at all. The Dutch Forensic institute proved that it was doctored by Phil, back in 2006. There is a plethora of links for this in Dutch.

I've never seen such a report Olivier but I also would not base my decision on Dutch forensics since they would have a reason to lie to protect Aruba.
What I heard at the time was that the Dutch said the only tape they received was the one for TV and it of course had splices as would the DeVries tape since they didn't air parts of it.
Then I heard a lot of speculation. It is my understanding that Skeeters would only give the original tape to the US FBI, which I assume has been done.
What would Dr. Phil be fighting if it was already proven the tape was altered? That would not make sense. You might not like him, but stupid he ain't.

That just sounds like a conspiracy theory to me.
I have to agree with matthijs here, why would they? Who are they protecting by covering that up exactly? Aruba needs a definitive answer to the question, that's what people want.
As for Phil's motives, aren't they obvious? Phil is a TV show host that has to have a new show daily. He needs things to talk about, and if there isn't any drama, he'll make it. All TV shows do this, no exceptions. The case, now it's actually going to trial, is bad publicity for him whether he wins or loses. It's mostly going to be about where the editing for time ended, and where the misrepresentation, if any, began. The Dutch Forensic institute is a technical expertise center, i.e. all they've proven is how and what exactly was edited in those tapes. Last night, I had another dream about Natalee. This time, we had a camp out. We set up a tent in the backyard. We talked for a while about her life, her dance, her dreams, things shes interested in, etc. We quickly fell asleep. Then Natalee woke me up at like 3AM and said lets get on the raft in the pool. I thought it was cute, so I did. It was fun. We fell asleep on the raft. When we woke up, I made Natalee heart shaped pancakes for breakfast using my pancake flipper. She loved them. We talked about what we were going to do during the day. We ended up going to the movies. Agian, whats interesting about this dream is I had no idea Natalee was missing. It was just completely business as usual. Nothing out of the ordinary. I think the point of all these dreams is just to tell me what a special person Natalee is, how nice she is, how easy she is to get along with, and easy to talk to she is, etc. But I'd certainitly love to hear your take.

Yeah, well if you read scrux (not a real reliable source btw) you will also see that the only one who has announced that the tape is fake is Dumpig. sorry, I'll wait for the report from the FBI Lab.
As far as Dr. Phil, guess you don't know how big he is in the USA. He simply doesn't need to resort to this type of thing and anyone with a brain would know that eventually any "bombshell" tape would be checked for authenticity.
Explanations of this tape are that after the Dutch got hold of it and produced their copy, the audio on the tape changed - even your reliable source Scrux comments on that.
Me, I don't know. But as I said, I'll wait for the US FBI. I have a hard time believing that either Jamie Skeeters or Dr. Phil would resort to such a thing. I also don't understand "you'd be surprised on easy it was" following "she didn't" (if that's what it was. Doesn't make sense. What was easy if "she didn't"?
Why the hostility towards Natalee from Deepak?
How did Deepak know she was dead the next day?
What's the "chit on that girl" that Deepak referred to in the police tape? And how did Deepak know about this if he's so innocent?
Do you really believe Deepak and Satish didn't know Natalee was slipped a drug?

Note that it is LORENZO van Rijn who has hired the attorney to deal with harrassment. Good for him and about time.
This is more inaccurate reporting like you did about the Skeeters tape. NFI only said it had been "edited" as of course it would be as the tape was twice as long as the Dr Phil program.
Evidently accuracy is not your cup of tea and you go for the sensational?
This is the article they keep posting. Finally one noted he has a lawyer now. I don't think they will get the drift that the lawyer is about the harassment.

Justice interrogates Joran
While he was secretly being recorded in conversation with ‘informant’ Patrick van der Eem, he was under the influence of marihuana, said Joran van der Sloot in the interrogation with Justice.
ORANJESTAD -- Joran van der Sloot declared that the conversations in Patrick van der Eem’s car, were carried on under influence of marihuana. He said this at a police station in Rotterdam, where he was voluntarily interrogated yesterday morning.
Detectives of the Aruban police and of the Corps national police service (KLPD) and his Dutch lawyer were present at the interrogation that lasted about two hours, said the Public Prosecutor (OM).
Other than that, Van der Sloot stuck to all his prior declarations in the investigation. He denies having anything to do with the disappearance of Natalee Holloway, said the OM. He could leave after the interrogation. The examining magistrate decided on February 5 that Joran van der Sloot is not to be detained. The OM has appealed that decision and expects a verdict from the Common Court of Justice.
The OM has called on the media in a press release not to launch a witch hunt around the Holloway-case and to abstain from investigations of their own. “The interest for this case seems to degenerate into a witch hunt, whereby several people are being menaced in an intimidated manner”, is the opinion of justice. To the OM, these practices are ‘unacceptable’. People are being marked as suspects without any confirmation and menaced as such with all its consequences. Besides, other than causing big unrest, journalistic investigations harm the criminal investigation, said justice. “Without wanting to harm the value of free press coverage, justice would like the media to be reserved, exactly for the above reasons.”
The OM mentioned as an example the media hunt on an accomplice that Van der Sloot mentioned. After this person (Daury Rodriguez) had declared that he has nothing to do with the case, all eyes focused on a next person (Lorenzo van Rijn).
“The cameras were all around his house”, informed district attorney Dop Kruimel. “He had to take on a lawyer for the contact with us.”
If necessary, the OM will also protect the suspect Joran van der Sloot. The OM is also of the opinion that yesterday’s words of Justice-minister Rudy Croes were premature. Croes wants to declare Joran van der Sloot persona non grate.
“The boy is not convicted yet; besides, there are a whole lot of judicial hurdles ahead, before he can be refused admission to Aruba. He is legally admitted anyway”, was the reaction of the OM.
Many institutions, official bodies, lawyers, journalists, and psychologists are asking themselves how to handle the outpouring of Joran van der Sloot before the hidden camera. According to law psychologist Albert Wagenaar, there is not even a confession in the revealing reportage. There is no solving of the case and it is no confession of a criminal act, ’because none is indicated’, said the psychologist.
The ombudsman of NOS, Tom van Bussel is of the opinion that the NOS should have been more reserved in reporting Peter R. de Vries’ claim that he had solved the Holloway disappearance-case. After the coverage of SBS6 on Sunday evening it appeared that De Vries’ promise is not fulfilled. “What we know now is that Joran is a confused guy. Like a source of the OM phrased it: ‘We thought that we would get a solution, but what we got was another of the so-many stories”, states the ombudsman on his NOS-website.
At this moment, the Dutch Council for Journalism doesn’t want to say whether certain publications in the Joran van der Sloot-case have crossed the borders of careful journalism.
Nevertheless, top executive of the Dutch OM, Harm Brouwer praises De Vries for his coverage. The chairman of the college of procurator-general said in an interview in Trouw last Friday that De Vries has delivered good journalistic work. “The criticism from media circles on De Vries is pretty hypocritical”, said Brouwer. “What he did is a logical continuation on a trend that is going on for years. He is in many respects a journalistic professional.”
Brouwer wants a social debate on citizens that are actively involved in tracing activities. That is just a detail. The point is, where private investigation must start and where it must stop.”
BALKENENDE
Premier Jan Peter Balkenende assumes that, during his Aruba-visit this Friday, the Holloway-case will come up for discussion in his conversation with Premier Nelson Oduber. He said in the TV-programme EenVandaag that this is the case of the judicial authorities and that he must not get involved. He pointed out the complexity of the case. Van der Sloot’s statements are indeed arguable; Daury said that he was not on Aruba when the affaire took place. Balkenende will be on Aruba and the Netherlands Antilles for five days, starting on Sunday.

How in god's name is what Joran said on those tapes not considered a confession??? Are these people out of their minds? What is it going to take to get this piece of **** behind bars??? I just can not believe what is going on over there...or more precisely, what is NOT going on over there.
Okay, I am absolutely SICK. Joran VanderSloot CONFESSED to being with Natalee Holloway when she died and he CONFESSED to disposing of her body. Joe Tacopina is scum. How can he live with himself? The Aruban authorities are scum. How can they live with themselves? It seems they will do anything to protect Joran and his daddy. They never wanted to solve this case.
I believe they will NEVER solve this case. Natalee will NEVER get justice. She disappeared in Aruba. I fully, more than ever support the Aruba boycott. I call on the US government to impose sanctions on Aruba. No ethical American citizen should ever go to Aruba, buy their products, support their industry, or step foot on that island. They all have one way tickets to hell along with Joran, 2K?s, and Paulus. I hope they enjoy their fire side views.
I am beyond disgusted, appaled, and nauseated. Their actions are unconsciable. Even if they find Natalee?s body? even if they have the crime on videotape? Aruba will never prosecute. Aruba is scum. Joran is scum. Paulus is scum. Kalpoes are scum.
There is nothing for us to do now than remember the memory of Natalee Holloway. Remember what a wonderful, kind, loving, sweet, nice, and amazing person she was. We can treasure the pictures and video of her. We can keep her memory alive and make sure her death was not in vein by making sure nobody ever go to Aruba ever agian and this does not ever happen to some other poor innocent young woman.
My prayers are with Natalee, her family, friends, and supporters on the airwaves and the internet.
