It's 2.30 am here now. SBS 6 just broke the news that Van der Sloot did confess to witnessing Natalee's death, he claims it was an accident. This confirms the earlier rumours. Allegedly, van der Sloot saw her overdosing and panicked. The whole U.S. media is waking up, but no one seems to be able to get Peter R. De Vries talking. I don't think I will be doing this again tomorrow, but it sure was fun. Missing-white-girl-media-circus, you stole my heart.

This is disgusting. I can only guess from your title that Joran is going to claim that Natalee took the drug overdose on purpose (versus what really happened and that is that the punks stuck Ghb in her drink) in order to commit suicide.
Don't know about anyone else, but I ain't buying.
Who cares what he confesses to? The case will have to be built on physical evidence. They might be able to find the body now, which would give them cause and time of death. not very accurately, but anyway he won't be getting off easy after lying. If the dutch government is in a whimsical mood, they might extradite him, which would land him in much more serious trouble.

I made the effort to reply to Jimbo on my own blog, but let it suffice to say that I am also thoroughly creeped out by Jimbo's comments.
As we have seen with the recent news reports (and Olivier fully admits in his most recent post), most of this hype pretty much boils down to us poor saps waiting until Sunday.
